I've been a member of the Derby City chapter of Jack and Jill of America for 8 years. This is an African-American organization of mothers who nurture future leaders. During my years in Jack & Jill, I have attended annual clusters and planned monthly group activities, as well as community service events. This organization has helped me gain leadership skills and understand the importance of helping those in need.
